The following message is from 8595, an unofficial group of William & Mary alumni from the classes of 1985-1995.

A year ago we announced the inaugural 8595 Hospitality Tent event in an e‑mail to about 1,900 alumni. Through the efforts of our 45 hosts and many others, word traveled far beyond the reach of the list we cobbled together and the event became one of the great successes of Homecoming 2006.

So we are doing it again—and we wanted you to know about it!

A preview of some of the weekend's events follows:
 

Friday Night Fest at the Alumni House (6:00-10:00pm). Live music. Food and beverages available from the Green Leafe, Williamsburg Concessions, and the Catering Company of Williamsburg.
 

Some suggestions for Saturday:
 

• 8595 Hospitality Tent (10:30am-end of 3rd quarter). Nearly 60 alumni have already joined the host committee and this year's gathering is sure to be another hit. Free.

• 9606 Hospitality Tent (10:30am-end of 3rd quarter). This new gathering will be next to the 8595 Tent. Details pending. Please see http://www.9606.org for more.

• WMAA Postgame Tailgate at the Alumni House (end of game-5:30pm). Snacks and three drink tickets included in $10 admission price.

• WMAA cocktail receptions for the reunion year classes of 1987 and 1992 (7:00-8:30pm) at the Williamsburg Lodge. Hors d’oeuvres and open bar for beer and wine. $45 ticket includes admission to All Alumni Saturday Night Bash.

• WMAA All Alumni Saturday Night Bash (8:00pm-midnight) in the Virginia Room of the Williamsburg Lodge. Open to all alumni classes. $20 admission. Live music. Cash bar and light snacks.

EIGHTY–FIVE NINETY–FIVE IS A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION and it does not officially represent the College, the William and Mary Alumni Association, or any other organization. 8595 seeks to increase the attendance, engagement, and connectedness of the nearly 18,500 alumni that constitute its target audience. But, while the focus of the effort is on this 11-year span of class years, 8595 events and activities are open to all and alumni from `84, `96, and other nearby years are especially encouraged to attend our events.
