Homecoming and 2012 Updates

We are pleased to report that we have begun to receive early support from the 2012 reunion classes of 1987 and 1992, as well from the nine non-reunion years. These contributions help us move toward our goal of covering 2012 costs and building a 1-year cushion of support (click here for more).

If you can also help, please consider contributing, even if you are not sure of your Homecoming plans. This is a critical time in the history of this organization and we appreciate your consideration.

For those who have interest, a conference call is planned soon to discuss management, possible events outside of Williamsburg this year or next, strategic goals, and the 2011 and 2012 Tents. If you have interest, please indicate that when registering for the 2012 event or contact us.

Several FAQ answers: Yes, you may join more than one class group, and No, the people you are hiding your advanced age from on Facebook won't know to which groups you belong; your group membership is only visible to members of the group. Yes, you can increase or decrease the amount and type of notifications you receive about group activity—just click on the Notifications menu at the top right of any group page and turn them on, off, or adjust which notifications you wish to receive, and how. And, finally, Yes, if a friend adds you to the wrong class year group or you just aren't interested, you are free to leave any group at any time.

`87 and `92 Reunion Updates

In the new class groups on Facebook, reunion committee members have already posted some early updates about the progress of plans for Homecoming and class gifts. If you have interest, make sure you have joined those groups—and also be sure to check the class pages on wmalumni.com and sign up for updates there.

Note: We will fully acknowledge new contributions and those received at the 2011 onsite registration table in an upcoming broadcast coming soon. We apologize for the delays.

EIGHTY–FIVE NINETY–FIVE IS A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION and it does not officially represent the College, the William and Mary Alumni Association, or any other organization. 8595 seeks to increase the attendance, engagement, and connectedness of the nearly 18,500 alumni that constitute its target audience. But, while the focus of the effort is on this 11-year span of class years, 8595 events and activities are open to all and alumni from `84, `96, and other nearby years are especially encouraged to attend our events.
